Why'd they turn John Smith into a Douchebag? That's pretty well all that needs to be said, John Smith was very understanding and compassionate in the first movie, love of Pocahontas' life, the key element in the whole movie and the second movie.... John who? Well John Rolfe and they turn John Smith into a douche bag who seeks attention and is captain cocky with arrogance to remove him from the whole thing. And in the end John Smith is kind of like well that life changing relationship that stopped a war between races isn't that big of a deal and Pocahontas ends up with the random guy!!!! So they ruined a good movie, a good character and had to get second rate voice talents to cover it up e.g. it's not Mel Gibson... but we got his brother, close enough right? So to make up for it, we'll make him speak as little as possible and remove him from the picture.

Pocahontas 1 was an incredible movie. I personally loved the chemistry between Pocahontas and John Smith. Pocahontas 2 ruined everything for me. Not only did they change her love interest to someone lame and cringy af but they also changed John Smith's character making him too arrogant and unlikeable to the viewer. Don't watch this movie if you don't want the first movie to get ruined to you. I'm honestly disappointed in Disney for making this movie. By far the worst movie sequence.

What i DO like about the sequel to Pocohontas is that they did put some stuff that really truly happened in Pocohontas' life. She really did fall in love with John Rolfe and ya. Putting her and John SMith together would've just made even more people mad that it wasn't "sticking to the facts" it was no where as good as the first but hey, what movie is? Just like any other helpless romantic girl i did want to see Poco and John SMith back together and I truly wish somehow Disney made their love last. Darn that John Rolfe guy. And i thought it was really crappy how Pocohontas had no love for John SMith left at all! She has to have some heart!
