The beautiful Anna Faris is so reminiscent of the equally beautiful and talented Helen Hunt (who I've loved since she "fell into the sea and lost her memory") the film is very basic, convenient, cute, the zé hive very captivating, the protagonists and villains ok, a ready-to-eat cake recipe for cute children's movies...

Hilarious and funny. That's the first thing to come up my mind when I was writing this review. This is a family-film. Where all ages can enjoy and can laugh together. This is not all about the fun. This movie also has a lesson. It teaches everyone, especially the kids to save mother nature 'cause many species lived here. Never cut trees. It will cost too much damage on animals and of course to people also. But through it all, Yogi is fun to be with. I wish I can have a cuddle bear to hug especially at night. I've been watching Yogi bear on cartoons. But this film really drives me crazy than the cartoons. I think it's because they used real people on this film rather than to make it all comic-like movie.

One of the most disappointing films I have ever watched. I really thought it would have some laughs in it at least. I was so wrong ! The voice of Yogi was entirely unconvincing (but booboo's not too bad). The "baddy" (the aspiring under ranger) was really weak and also unconvincing. I am glad I didn't buy a DVD or visit the cinema. The viewing was actually free, as a first DVD (for joining my new local video hire shop) ! Lucky or what? Suggested maximum age for viewing would be 6-8; my 10 year old sniggered just once I think. He probably laughs 100 times more during a single episode of the Simpsons. What surprises me is that surely someone in the hierarchy of the production company would have noticed just how mediocre the resulting film was and scrapped it upfront to avoid the embarrassment of ever showing it to the general public?

With wonderful voice casting (Dan Ackroyd is perfect as Yogi) and amazingly effective CGI animation seamlessly integrated with live action, this is a treat for all the family. I laughed all the way through and it's a delight. Took me back to childhood days enjoying the cartoons and it's very faithful to that original material. Recommended.

I like Hanna Barberas animated shows like Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones, The Jetsons and I even liked the Yogi Bear cartoon. Even though they are made into movies. I mean this had the spirit of the cartoon and the same 2 well known bears, so I won't say its awful. But some of the actors were laughable like Tom Cavanagh as Ranger Smith, he was trying but I found his acting funny. Dan Aykroyd as Yogi Bear was ok, I can see he was really trying to play the character like the cartoon. Justin Timberlake as Boo Boo was spot on and sounded exactly like Boo Boo from the Cartoon. Its Yogi Bear the movie, I didn't expect that much but to have it like the old cartoon. I still think its bad but harmless.

Yogi-Bear is an average animated movie, nothing special about it. It has some really nice scenes but it cant erase the average movie evaluation. The Yogi-Bear(character) is, in my opinion very boring, bad sense of humor and sometimes even rather stupid and annoying. The other bear is like a pocket watch he carries along always on the service to the annoying and dumb Yogi. But not is all that black, the Major of the town where the Yellystone park is, is great!! A real politician, and a real scum- but i liked him because he is not hiding and is arrogant through the roof- great performance. The girl and major marshal are doing good with acting and so do other characters. The movie is OK for losing an hour and a half but wont stay in your memory for a long time. Could have been much better.....at least they could put better jokes in it. rating 5/10
